Call for Proposals for Projects on the Quantum Use Challenge: Pushing the Boundaries of Quantum Tech for Applications

The Helmholtz Association invites proposals for joint research projects in the field of quantum use, aiming to expand the diverse research approaches of quantum technologies to include new, relevant and previously little-explored fields of application.

The goal of this funding initiative from the Initiative and Networking Fund is to expand the fascinating world of quantum technologies into new, previously unexplored fields of application and to demonstrate their potential for solving real-world challenges.

The projects should go beyond the current research on quantum technologies within the Helmholtz programs and research fields. The Quantum Use Challenge funding program seeks to make a significant contribution to the transfer of research knowledge and its practical implementation in the cross-sectional area of quantum use cases.

Together, we want to develop innovative approaches that not only solve real-world problems but also advance science and technology to new level. In this context, we place particular emphasis on the exchange between developers and users, as this is the only way to ensure that these future technologies are sustainably integrated into various fields. At the same time, the funding will foster the creation of an interdisciplinary community – a key to success!
