Marie Curie Actions Road Show 2011
The European Union 7th Framework Programme Marie Curie Actions aims at strengthening quantitatively and qualitatively the human potential in research and technology in Europe. Research centers are one of the main drivers of technological development in Europe and have a critical role in building and strengthening the skills and experience of researchers. This is the context in which the “Marie Curie Actions Road Show 2011” has been jointly organized by 5 European Research Centers:

The aims of the road show are to:
- present and introduce the research centers in each of the countries visited and acquaint the participants with the facilities of these centers
- deliver presentations on Intra European Fellowships and Career Integration Grants with the cooperation of the European Commission and the national contact points.
Upcoming calls for proposals
On 16 March 2011, the next call for proposals for Marie Curie Intra European Fellowships(IEF) will be published. This call provides financial support for advanced training and trans-national mobility, for a period of 12-24 months, for individual projects presented by experienced researchers from Member States or Associated Countries in liaison with a host organization from a Member State or Associated Country.
On 8 March 2011, the next call for proposals for Marie Curie Career Integration Grants (CIG) will be published. This call is intended to improve the prospects for the permanent integration of researchers who are offered a stable research post in Europe from 2 to 4 years after a mobility period in a country different from the country where the researcher has been active during the past years (i.e. the researcher has to be mobile but can come from anywhere in the world – moving within Europe or coming from outside Europe).

Local information days
Before the closure of these calls (on August 11 for IEF and September 6 for CIG) a series of Marie Curie Info-days will be organized as part of the Marie Curie Actions Roadshow 2011. The info-days will take place between February – April 2011 in Ankara, Rome, Berlin, Copenhagen and Paris respectively, in order to reach the above mentioned aims.
The dates and agendas of the info-days will be announced on this website. All researchers of any nationality and from any research field are invited to attend the info-days in one of these cities. Each event will provide updated information about the funding offered in the upcoming calls. It will in particular focus on Intra-European Fellowships and Career Integration Grants. Five of the major research organizations in Europe will also present various opportunities for carrying out research as part of a post-doctoral fellowship in their respective institutions.
This invitation is targeted to researchers who are interested in carrying out research in one of these research centers by submitting a proposal for a Marie Curie Fellowship. Please see the CORDIS website for more information about the People programme.
