Open Science and the Research Data Life Cycle
given by Kirsten Elger, Boris Radosavljevic, Kaja Scheliga & Paul Schultze-Motel
This interactive workshop will offer a hands-on introduction to principles of open science and on how to share and re-use the results of scientific work. You will learn about open access to publications, the research data life cycle, how to find suitable text and data repositories, how to get credit for your scientific outputs, about FAIR data, the re-use of scientific software and how to find information on open science and get advice at your own Helmholtz centre.
Participants will be asked to bring their own laptops. The workshop will consist of input talks, team work in smaller groups, a digital reader with texts and links to information resources, group discussions, and collective work to produce a short output document.
