Data Science with R in the age of "Big Data"
given by Dr. Steffen Kriewald
The statistical programming language R is a widespreaded and powerful tool for analyzing, modeling and visualizing data. In this workshop we will discover what makes data "Big" and how to process it within R. Focusing on efficient programming and parallel processing in the first part we will explore more application oriented aspects in the second part. Starting with a recap of basic statistics we will quickly continue with supervised and unsupervised machine learning algorithms.
