2. #virtual leadership lab 2021: “Inclusive Leadership: Leading Research into the Future – Together”, June 17, 2021
Helmholtz is diverse – and we need diversity because it is a key success factor for innovative research. So how do we want to live and leverage this diversity - and what role does leadership play?
We would like to take the opportunity of this year’s Leadership Lab, scheduled for June 17, to pursue the question of leadership in striving towards a more inclusive work environment. Using real-life experiences and perspectives, we would like to share and discuss areas for development and action that leaders should be aware of.
In light of the current situation, the event will once again take place in a digital format. Please mark your calendars for:
#virtual leadership lab 2021 “Inclusive Leadership: Leading Research into the Future – Together”
June 17, 2021, 9:00 a.m. to approx. 4:30 p.m.
Further information to follow. If you have any questions, please contact Irena Wiederspohn, Manager Talent Networks, at +49 30 206 329-19 or netzwerk@helmholtz.de.
3. Helmholtz Leadership Academy: Ceremonial Presentation of Certificates
The current situation forces us to again postpone our customary presentation of certificates held in Berlin in June. We thank you for your understanding.
4. Career Talk „How to become a Data Scientist? Career paths of women in Data Science, April 14
The 10th annual Gender Summit will be held April 14-16. We kindly invite you to the following pre-event on April 14 at 2:00 pm:
Career Talk „How to become a Data Scientist? Career paths of women in Data Science.“
Data Science is the Future. But data science is only as diverse, fair, open as the concepts and methods on which it builds. How can we make data science a fair representation of who we are as global society? We would like to initiate a discussion among data scientists - experienced researchers together with early-stage researchers – on this topic. With this event we would like to give impulses for a lively conversation on careers in data science. Biographies & careers are rarely linear; this is especially true for careers in new and innovative fields of research.
By participating in the summit and organizing a pre-event, we want to send a signal for diversity, equal opportunities and open science; enable networking for researchers regardless of gender, origin and research field. We promote equal opportunities in and through research with data.
Please register here for the pre-event.
