The Helmholtz Association conducts top-level research. People from all over the world contribute their scientific, technical, administrative or strategic expertise and play a key factor for our success. To ensure that all employees can fully develop their talents, we promote an appreciative working atmosphere at our research centers, on research trips, at congresses and at events, in which the dignity and integrity of all are respected.
Sexual harassment and abuse of power as well as any form of discrimination stand in the way of a respectful and safe working environment and equal opportunities.
The structures of non-university research institutions with numerous supervisory and dependency relationships as well as fixed-term employment contracts, especially for young talents, are susceptible to misconduct such as abuse of power, discrimination and sexualized misconduct. For this reason, we have a heavy responsibility to take a firm stand against sexual harassment, abuse of power and discrimination within our community.
The Helmholtz Association does not tolerate such misbehavior!
